Holy Mountain (Acoustic Song)

Which mountain are you climbing?

For the majority of my life, I was climbing the pyramid-looking one.

Great at first glance…

Yet predictable to the point of apathy.

Where the adventure of the climb is swiftly replaced by the repetition of stairs.

Where you have to push through the crowds as you begin your ascent.

Where some have to be left behind…

And some have to be thrown down.

Where every stone is polished by those grinding to climb it.

The climb becoming harder and more demanding with each step.

Each carrying another stone to build it higher.

Where no one truly reaches the summit, because the pyramid grows faster than you can climb it.

The pyramid…

Surrounded by the concrete jungle.

Lyrics:
Holy Mountain

A, G, F, G
Holy, holy, holy mountain
Holy, holy, holy mountain

A, C, A, C, A, C, D… D
The air is thin
The oxygen is hard to find
The sun is out
Conditions can change anytime
Avalanche terrain
But clearly we don’t mind
We have our Lord
Protecting all the time

No time for bivy
Slowly we begin the grind
Elevation gain, compass left behind
We don’t know the route, but know we will find
The way for us
Our Lord will guide

A, C, D
And when you are in the mountains
You see the snow, you see the rock
All the fears left behind us
We are climbing up for Jesus Christ

A, G, F, G
Will You help me find my way on this route
And allow me the passage all the way to the top, Lord
Will I reach the peak before turning back
Spirit guiding my steps, as the sun starts to set, Lord
As the trail leads me into the night
Neon of northern lights, what a beauty to find, Lord
What a blessing that you granted to me
And allowed me to see Your creation up close, Lord

A, G, F, G
Holy, holy, holy mountain
Holy, holy, holy mountain

Or are you climbing the mountain unclimbed?

The mountain that is like no other.

Waiting for you to climb it.

To discover the adventure it has to offer.

Where every step is a new moment.

One of a kind.

A lesson with every step.

A new horizon with every step.

Surrounded by the Lord’s creation.

Fruitful.

Alive.

So which mountain are you climbing?
