There have been many earthly kings throughout history.
And to this day…
People still long for a righteous leader.
Someone who will restore justice.
Bring peace. Give hope. Provide clarity.
As in the days of old…
So it is today. The promises continue. The slogans change. Yet the result remains the same.
The weary grow more weary. The weak are taken advantage of.
The system that promises justice… leaves us longing for it. Again and again.
Blame the system?
Or perhaps…
Blame ourselves for placing our hope in it.
The longer we continue down that road…
The less of what we thought we possessed remains.
Less freedom.
Less privacy.
Less opportunity.
Less health.
Less hope.
Less truth.
Less love.
