What is Your Excuse? (Acoustic Song)

I’ve had my share of excuses.

Religion was one of them.

I had witnessed the hypocrisy.

The pretending.

Religion used for material gain.

For status.

Even for violence.

Yet nowhere did I encounter the presence of God.

Education became another.

I learned about the Big Bang.

Monkey origin.

No purpose.

Just chaos.

Lyrics:
What is Your Excuse?

E, C, A, A
What is your excuse?
What else He had to do, He had to do for you?
What is your excuse?
What else He had to say for you to know what’s true?

Can a one man change the world?
Look around you, it’s changed for all
Been this way for
Two thousand years
When He came to
Defeat our fears

Breaking all the rules
Calling out the lies
Healing of the sick
Promises of life

Secrets are revealed
Multitudes are fed
With the bread of life
Raising from the dead

What is your excuse?
What else He had to do and sacrifice for you?
What is your excuse?
What else He had to say for you to know what’s true?

One Messiah, One for all
Every nation, He will call
Gather those He knows by name
And deliver from the flames

Paralytics walk
Mute that start to talk
Blind that start to see
Good that comes to be

Hope that’s in His Word
Knowing of the Lord
Yeshua His name
One without the blame

What is your excuse?
What else He had to do and sacrifice for you?
What is your excuse?
What else He had to say for you to know what’s true?

The third one…

The Bible.

I read about a God who created everything good.

Then came the fall.

The flood.

Wars.

Judgment.

Sacrifices.

And I wondered…

Is this the same God who created everything good?

And once again, I put away the Bible.

I had my excuses.

They kept me away from Jesus.
